UNWIND HYDERABAD
Workshop on Peer Pressure @ GIIS, Uppal
The team then continued to give a brief on what peer pressure actually is, its causes, effects, types, indicators and also, gave solutions on how this problem could be avoided. Here, the skit cut back in and we saw how this pressurized student had found happiness in doing what she wanted and in living the life she loves rather than following someone else's preferences and aligning herself to another person's standards. She chose the path that she would find satisfaction in tranversing and thus, the skit ended with a gratifying conclusion. Towards the end of the presentation, all the students of the school shared their experiences of peer pressure, asked doubts, shared their valuable feedback and spoke to the team about the problems they were facing and took advice. The presentation ended with a smile on every learner's face and they carried back the insight they picked up that day, promising to never become a victim of peer pressure and help anyone who is going through it.
Peer pressure is a major issue. An issue with uncountable victims. It so happens that, often, these victims don't how to tackle their way out of this. It so happens that they don't even know what it is they're up against and what has made them go through doors they would never dare to open in the first place.
To address this very serious issue, the team of Unwind conducted a workshop at Global Indian International School, Uppal - their first experience, one that they will never forget. The presentation commenced with a skit - a real-life example of an anxious student experiencing peer pressure from everyone around her and how it has affected her mindset. The skit paused when we saw that the student was running out of time and still didn't understand how to move forward.
